In his lecture, Amos talks about the thought process and preparations a photographer needs to make before each assignment and everyday for their work. Using his imagery as examples, he will discuss thinking about creating images that have not been seen before, and what it takes to successfully execute them. He will draw on his years of experience working for such clients as Apple, IBM, Microsoft, Discovery Channel, Armani, Disney, and Colombia Pictures.

Speaker Biography: Amos Nachoum

Amos has lead great expeditions for individual adventurers and institutions like Apple, IBM, Microsoft, Discovery Channel, Armani, Disney, and Colombia Pictures. For National Geographic, he was team leader for separate photo expeditions to document the Red Sea, Great White Sharks, and Killer Whales.

His photos and essays have appeared in hundreds of publications around the globe, including National Geographic, Time, Life, The New York Times, Condé Nast Traveler, Le Figaro, Terra Sauvage, Airone, Mondo Somerso, Der Spiegel, Unterwasser, and many more. His work has also been included in the books The Living Ocean, The World of Nature, and Oceans. He has appeared on National Geographic Explorer, Today, and Good Morning America and featured in People, Esquire, and Money magazines. Amos’s photography has won Nikon, Communication Arts, and BBC Wildlife Photographer of the Year awards.

Above all else, Amos loves people as much as wildlife. His concern for both inspired him to co-found Israel’s Marine National Park on the Red Sea.

Though his interest in conservation began with sharks, he looks to bring attention to the most fragile regions of the underwater realm with preservation of the environment foremost in his mind. His favorite way to raise awareness and stimulate passion for the ocean is to help guests experience it first-hand. For those unable to join him on his adventures, he brings the oceans to the world through his photography and public speaking engagements.

In 2019 Amos was honored to be selected as 2019 Sea Keeper of the year!

Picture of My LifeI had to share with you the feelings of the company's employees and managers after Amos's lecture at our place. There was a real sense of upliftment, a real connection to Amos, to his love for the big creatures in nature. Through the moving photographs and, of course, the completion of his mission – the one picture that was missing from his amazing arsenal – a picture of a polar bear underwater. Amos is an exciting and towering figure that I think every company should introduce to its employees. I highly recommend getting excited with Amos.

Amos dedicates his life to the big animals in nature and took us on an exciting journey of visual richness that I can't remember seeing before.
